Read n Seed 1: Diet For A Small Planet


The book I chose for Read 'n' Seed is called Diet For A Small Planet. The book is written by Frances Moore Lappe in 1985. 


This book focuses on a new guideline for different eating habits and recipes for updated healthier meal plans. It’s a easy way to learn new ideas and rules to strive for a happier healthier you.


I chose this book because I am really interested in how nutrition in the new millennium (the 2000’s) is supposed to be portrayed. I’m also interested in how it may now differ, nine years later, with advances and leads in the new food pyramid and updated nutrition concepts that we should now be following.


There are 528 pages along with 4 main chapters/parts. 
The book is divided into four parts, which I will separate up among the quarters. 
  1. The first quarter I will read Part I. Recipe for a Personal Revolution. 
  2. The second quarter I will continue with Part II. Diet for a Small Planet. 
  3. Following this, the third quarter will be focused on the reading Part III. Diet for a Small Planet Revisited. 
  4. I will finish up the fourth quarter with Part IV. Lessons for the Long Haul.
